The Secular Church of the Public Sector

There is an entrenched official dogma, a Secular Church of the Public Sector, which is being undermined by the destruction of their gatekeeper functions, thanks to the Internet and other new, free mass forms of communication. They have control of nearly all of the media, most of the educational system, and huge portions of the government. Within the government, the elected portion is merely the tip of the iceberg. Most of the control lies in the unelected members of government.

They will be defeated by communication. The Internet has no gatekeepers; No high priests to control what the masses are exposed to. I believe the result will be similar to what happened after the invention of the printing press: a massive Reformation. But it will happen very fast.
